IT: Welcome to Derry — Visual Campaign Exploration (Spec)

Role: Art Director & Designer | Key Art + Social Campaign | 2025
For this speculative project, I explored how IT: Welcome to Derry could be translated into a modern visual campaign built around tension, atmosphere, and psychological horror. The work includes a series of poster concepts and a cinematic teaser, each designed to reimagine Derry as a character of its own—alive, haunting, and quietly watching.
I combined iconic elements from the IT universe—red balloons, fog-filled streets, unsettling silhouettes—with contemporary key-art composition and gritty, textural design language. The posters emphasize mood and world-building over literal retelling, creating visuals that feel cinematic, eerie, and emotionally charged.
The accompanying video piece introduces Derry through slow-moving dread and ambient unease, functioning as a social-first teaser that hints at the town’s mythology without revealing the monster. This project reflects my interest in crafting immersive visual narratives and building campaign systems that feel cohesive across formats.
